Hire a Shopify Developer in the Philippines

A Shopify store built fast by someone who will also tell you when Shopify is the wrong answer.

A Shopify developer in the Philippines earns the fee in two places: the theme, and the maths.

Checkout · live

An animated online store checkout: a product is added to a cart, paid with GCash, and confirmed with an order number.

A store that takes the order and the payment while you are asleep.

What's included

01

Theme customisation that survives updates

Work done in sections, blocks, settings and theme app extensions rather than hacked into core files, so your theme still takes vendor updates a year from now. You get a development theme to review before anything touches your live store.

02

Philippine payments configured end to end

GCash, Maya, cards and online banking through PayMongo or another local gateway app, and cash on delivery set up as a manual payment method with a confirmation step and order tagging so COD orders never ship unverified.

03

App audit, then app removal

Most Shopify stores we inherit pay monthly for four apps doing one job. We list every subscription against what it actually does, cut the overlap, and replace the ones worth owning with a small custom app that costs nothing per month.

04

Shipping profiles and fulfilment, set up Shopify's way

Shopify's shipping profiles used as intended — separate rate groups per product set and per location, so a bulky item is not priced like a keyring. Fulfilment locations and order routing configured, and we flag before you design the rate card that carrier-calculated rates are only available on some Shopify plans.

05

Migration in or out, with your rankings intact

From WooCommerce, Wix, Magento or a Facebook page into Shopify — or off Shopify onto WordPress when the fees stop making sense. Products, variants, customers and order history move, and every old URL gets a permanent redirect to its new home.

06

A free lifetime AI assistant in the theme

Trained on your catalogue, sizes, shipping times and returns policy, embedded in the storefront and answering buyers at midnight. It is included for the life of your store, not another recurring app in your Shopify bill.

How we work

  1. STEP 1

    Run the platform maths first

Your plan, apps, gateway fee and Shopify's extra fee for third-party gateways, projected against your order volume — next to what the same store costs on WooCommerce or a custom build.

You get: A written three-year cost comparison across platforms

  2. STEP 2

Plan the structure, then the look

Collections, tags, variants and metafields decided before design, because a Shopify store that is structured badly stays hard to merchandise no matter how good the theme looks.

You get: An approved catalogue structure and theme direction

  3. STEP 3

    Build in a development theme

Everything happens on a preview theme against your real products, so you click through the actual store before publishing and can reject it without any risk to what is live.

You get: A preview link on your own Shopify store

  4. STEP 4

    Prove payments and fulfilment

Live test orders through each payment method, refunded and voided, plus a COD order taken all the way to a tracking number so the fulfilment path is proven and not assumed.

You get: A signed-off test log, one row per payment method

  5. STEP 5

    Publish, train, support

The theme goes live, your team is trained on the Shopify admin, and we stay on for a year of support and warranty while you settle in.

You get: A published store, documentation and 1-year support

Pricing

Shopify builds from ₱99,000 — our fee is one-time

Starter ₱99,000 (5 days), Pro ₱149,000 (10 days, adds a branded Android app), Business ₱199,000 (15 days, large catalogues and integrations). 50% down, the rest against milestones. What we charge is one-time; Shopify's monthly plan, any app subscriptions and your gateway's per-transaction fees are billed by them, in US dollars in Shopify's case, and are not included. We show you that running total before you sign anything.

Questions

Something not covered? Message us — a real person from the team replies, usually the same day.

Ask us directly

Yes, through a third-party gateway app such as PayMongo, which puts GCash, Maya, cards and online banking into Shopify checkout. Shopify Payments is not offered to Philippine merchants, so every store here runs on a third-party gateway — and Shopify adds its own platform fee on top of the gateway's fee for that. Check the current percentage for your plan on Shopify's pricing page, because it differs by plan and changes.

Four things stack up: the Shopify plan, billed in US dollars so your peso cost moves with the exchange rate; app subscriptions, also usually in dollars; your gateway's per-transaction fee; and Shopify's extra fee for using a third-party gateway. Compare that against a WooCommerce store, where hosting with us starts at ₱499 a month after the first free year and nobody takes a percentage of your sales. At low volume Shopify often wins. At high volume with thin margins it rarely does.

When your margin is thin and your volume is high, because a percentage fee on every order compounds. When your checkout needs to do something Shopify's checkout will not — tiered wholesale pricing, per-branch stock rules, unusual COD verification. Or when you already run WordPress and want one system. We will say so up front and quote the WooCommerce or custom build instead; we would rather lose the Shopify job than sell you a monthly bill you resent in year two.

Yes, and it is mostly discipline. We work through theme sections, blocks, settings and theme app extensions instead of editing core Liquid files into a tangle, keep custom code isolated, and build on a development theme. That way the theme's vendor can still ship updates and you can take them. If you have already inherited a heavily edited theme, we audit it first and tell you honestly whether to clean it or rebuild.

Both. Products, variants, images, customers and order history move across, and we map every old URL to its new one with permanent redirects, which matters because Shopify's URL structure differs from WooCommerce's and an unmapped migration quietly costs you your search traffic. Migrations off Shopify onto WordPress work the same way. Timeline depends on catalogue size, so we quote after seeing an export.

It works, with a caveat. COD is set up as a manual payment method, and we add order tagging plus a confirmation step so parcels do not ship to unverified buyers. What Shopify will not do out of the box is automatic SMS or Viber confirmation and COD limits by zone — that needs an app or a small custom app, which we build once instead of renting monthly. If COD is most of your volume, ask us about WooCommerce before committing.

You do. The Shopify account is in your name and billed to you, the domain is yours, the theme code and any custom app we write for you are yours, and your product and customer data export whenever you want. We ask for a collaborator account to work, and you can revoke it in one click. Nothing about the build locks you to us.
