A costed comparison, not a rate card
Before you sign, a written breakdown of what the offshore model removes from your budget — recruiter fees, desks, laptops, benefits, statutory contributions, idle capacity between projects — against what it adds: management attention on your side, and time lost to the hours you do not share. If that arithmetic does not work for your situation we would rather show you now.
A working day mapped against yours
Manila is UTC+8: a full shared day with Singapore and Hong Kong, five to six hours of a Sydney or Melbourne day, the first hour or two of a London morning. For North America we run shifted schedules and commit a fixed daily overlap window in the agreement. You see the overlap in hours, on a chart, before you commit to anything.
Written-first communication
Decisions, blockers and assumptions go in writing where you can search them later. Every Manila day ends with a handover note covering what shipped, what is blocked and what needs your answer by morning. Calls are kept for the arguments that writing cannot settle, and they are recorded when you want them recorded.
One clear line of management
Written into the engagement: who owns the backlog, who owns delivery, who signs off a release, and who you call when something is on fire. Escalation goes to a named person here, not a ticket queue. Most offshore failures we are asked to rescue are not skill problems — they are two sides both assuming the other was steering.
Risk controls that live in the contract
Every protection here is a numbered clause your lawyer can read before you sign, not a value on a slide: replacement at our cost with the handover week included, notice periods agreed in both directions, nothing that auto-renews into a year you did not choose, and change requests priced in writing before any work starts. If your legal team would rather we signed their paperwork than ours, we will. The NDA, IP-assignment and per-person access terms are identical across every model we sell and are set out in full on our hire developers page.
An exit that is not a hostage situation
Repositories, credentials, environment and deployment documentation, and a handover window with the team still available. Nothing sits on a platform you would have to keep renting from us. The test of an offshore partner is how cheap they make it to leave, and we would rather you could.
