IT Staff Augmentation in the Philippines for Teams That Already Have a Lead

Capacity added to the team you have — not a second team to manage alongside it.

IT staff augmentation in the Philippines works best when you already have the hard parts covered: a technical lead, a backlog that is actually groomed, a definition of done people respect.

Squad · live

Four Philippine team seats — developer, designer, QA engineer and virtual assistant — take turns in the spotlight above a bar showing seven hours of daily overlap between Manila working hours and the client's day.

A ready-made Philippine team on your hours — you set the tasks, we handle the rest.

What's included

01

Single roles, filled properly

Back-end, front-end, full-stack, mobile, QA (manual and automation), DevOps or UI/UX. One seat is a normal order. We would rather fill one role well than talk you into three because a bigger contract is easier for us to staff.

02

They work in your tools, not ours

Your Jira or Linear, your GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket, your Slack, your branching model, your pull-request template, your definition of done. Nothing about the way your team already works has to change to accommodate the engineer you are adding.

03

Onboarding onto a codebase nobody documented

The first fortnight is deliberately small tickets and a lot of reading. Every question the engineer has to ask gets written down and turned into onboarding notes that stay with you — so the next person you hire, ours or yours, starts faster than this one did.

04

Your lead reviews the work, and there is no PM fee

Priorities, code review and performance feedback stay with your technical lead, because splitting them across two managers is how augmented engineers quietly end up idle. You are not billed for a project manager you did not ask for. If you would rather someone else ran delivery, that is the dedicated-team model instead.

05

Per-person access, revoked the same day

Named accounts, least privilege, and a written access list agreed before day one covering repositories, cloud consoles, production data and devices. The offboarding steps are agreed at the same time, so removing access is a checklist rather than a scramble.

06

Seats that flex with the reason you added them

Cover a parental leave, backfill a resignation while you recruit, add a pair of hands for a release crunch, or bring in DevOps for the length of a migration. Add or drop on the notice period in your contract. Nothing auto-renews and nothing is bundled.

How we work

  1. STEP 1

    The gap, in one call

What is blocked, which skills would unblock it, what seniority your lead can supervise, and how long you expect to need the seat. If the honest answer is that you need a permanent local hire, we will tell you.

You get: A role spec, seniority band and target start date

  2. STEP 2

    Shortlist, then your lead interviews

Candidates from our bench with real code from delivered projects and a technical exercise in your stack. Your lead runs the interview, because your lead is the one who will be reviewing the pull requests.

You get: A candidate your own technical lead approved

  3. STEP 3

Access, security and paperwork before day one

NDA and IP assignment signed, then named accounts provisioned against a written access list covering repos, cloud, tracker and any production data the role genuinely needs.

You get: Signed NDA and IP assignment plus an agreed access and offboarding list

  4. STEP 4

    Two-week onboarding sprint

Small, real tickets from your backlog rather than a sandbox project, so the codebase gets learned by shipping. Your lead gives feedback at the end of week two and either keeps the seat or stops it.

You get: Merged pull requests and onboarding notes you keep

  5. STEP 5

Steady state and a monthly check-in

The engineer is just part of your team from here. Once a month we ask your lead what is and is not working, and you get an invoice itemised by role and days covered that you can check against your own board.

You get: An itemised monthly invoice and a seat you can resize on notice

Pricing

Per seat, per month — quoted by role after a scoping call, fixed in pesos

Each seat is quoted per role, per month, with no recruitment fee, no placement fee and no project-management surcharge, because your lead runs the work. Nothing on your side for laptops, office space, statutory contributions or 13th-month pay. The peso figure is fixed in the contract, invoices are itemised by role and days covered, and seats can be added or dropped on the agreed notice period. If what you actually need is a defined build rather than capacity, fixed-scope projects run ₱99,000 to ₱199,000.

Questions

Answers before you ask

Something not covered? Message us — a real person from the team replies, usually the same day.

Ask us directly

It is about who manages the work. Augmented engineers report into your technical lead, work your backlog in your tracker, and follow your review process — you get capacity and keep control. A dedicated team comes with our project manager running planning, QA and reporting, and you brief one person. Augmentation is cheaper because you are supplying the management yourself; it fails when nobody on your side actually has time to do that.

Interviews usually happen within the first week of a role spec because the candidates are already on our bench, not recruited against your job ad. After that the gating factor is your side: NDA signed, accounts provisioned, access list agreed. Teams that have those ready commonly have someone in a standup inside two weeks. Expect the first fortnight to be onboarding tickets rather than roadmap work.

Yes, and those are two of the most common requests. QA covers test planning, manual regression and automation, plus device testing on real Android and iOS handsets. DevOps covers pipelines, environments, monitoring, backups and cloud migrations. Both are sold the same way as a developer seat — quoted per role, per month, with your lead directing the work.

Named accounts per person, least privilege by default, and a written access list agreed before day one covering repositories, cloud consoles, tracker and any production data the role genuinely requires. Offboarding steps are agreed in the same document. NDA and IP assignment are signed first, and we work under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 — or your own security addendum if your team prefers to use theirs.

Three months is typical, because an onboarding sprint is wasted on anything shorter, after which it runs rolling on the notice period in the contract. To end a seat you give notice, we run a handover week and access is revoked on the last day. Nothing auto-renews. If you are covering a parental leave or a fixed migration, we will set the end date at the start instead.

Quoted per role, per month, after a scoping call and fixed in pesos in the contract. Because your lead directs the work there is no project-management surcharge, and there is no recruitment fee, equipment, office, benefits or 13th-month cost on your side. Compare it against a defined build before you commit: if the gap is really one project rather than ongoing capacity, fixed scope starts at ₱99,000 and often costs less than a single month of salary.

No. A seat is full-time on your work for the days you are paying for, and the engineer is not split across accounts to fill a bench gap. If we ever need to change the person — a resignation, a serious mismatch — you are told before it happens, the replacement is at our cost, and a handover week is included rather than billed.
