Prejane's Succulents: a plant shop app from browse to doorstep

A succulents and houseplants shop app: priced listings with a stock status, a five-photo product page and cash on delivery.

Prejane's Succulents sells cacti, succulents and houseplants, and the app carries that catalogue in a shopper's pocket.

The brief

Selling plants online is a photography problem and a stock problem at once. A buyer decides from a picture, so one thumbnail is never enough. The same buyer wants the size, the pot colour, whether the plant is actually available and how much light it needs before they part with money — and every one of those questions costs a seller a reply if the listing does not answer it first. The Prejane app answers them on the listing instead: a five-photo gallery, an availability line that reads In stock or On backorder, sizes and pot colours as variants, a care description, and a checkout on the same screen.

What we built

  • Built the home screen for discovery: the shop's logo, a cart, a search box, #OnSale, #Featured and #New chips, a promo banner and labelled photo tiles into the categories.
  • Set up the category tabs a plant buyer already thinks in — Plants, Planters, Plant care, Pet friendly — in a row that scrolls to more.
  • Put the peso price, a stock line, a star rating and a save-it heart on every tile, so a shopper qualifies the plant before tapping.
  • Gave the product page a five-photo gallery with a thumbnail strip, an SKU, an availability status and a care description, because a plant is bought on how it looks and how hard it is to keep.
  • Kept checkout on one screen: the chosen size and colour, a quantity stepper, subtotal, shipping, a free-shipping progress bar and cash on delivery.

Inside the platform

01

Branded storefront with quick filters

The shop's own logo across the top, a cart icon, a four-square grid button and a search box, with #OnSale, #Featured and #New chips underneath. Below them a 'Succulents Paradise — shop in the Prejane app 24/7' banner, then labelled photo tiles into the categories.

02

Category tabs a plant buyer recognises

Plants, Planters, Plant care and Pet friendly sit in a scrolling tab row on the Category screen, with further tabs off the edge. Somebody shopping for a pot is not made to wade through the plants to find one.

03

Tiles that price and stock the plant

N'joy Pothos at ₱79.00 and Peperomia Obtusifolia at ₱66.00, each with a photo, an In stock line, a star rating and a cart button for adding it there and then. An On Sale badge flags a tile on promo and a heart saves the plant for later.

04

Product page with a five-photo gallery

A thumbnail strip under the main photo with a 2/5 counter, then the name, the price, a star rating with its review count, the SKU and an availability line — On backorder on this listing, In stock on the tiles — rather than leaving the buyer guessing.

05

Care notes on the listing

Under the price sits a description of the plant: where it is native to and how much direct light it needs. The questions a first-time plant buyer would otherwise send by message are answered before they ask.

06

Variants, quantity and cash on delivery

The order screen holds the chosen variant — Cuddly Cactus in Medium, Blue — with a quantity stepper and a remove button, a subtotal and total, shipping worked out once the address is entered, a free-shipping progress bar and Cash on delivery as a payment option.

Questions

About this project

Ask us about it

A branded store with a catalogue, variants and checkout is the Pro package at ₱149,000, live in about 10 working days, and that includes a branded Android app. If you want the store on the web first and the app later, Starter is ₱99,000 and goes live in 5 working days. Listings and users are unlimited on every package, so a growing catalogue does not raise the price.

Yes. Every listing carries an availability line — the Prejane app shows In stock on the category tiles and On backorder on a plant that has run out — and the label comes straight from the stock count in your admin panel. Change the number once and it updates everywhere that plant appears, so nobody orders something you gave away last Saturday.

Yes, that is what variants are for. Prejane's checkout shows a specific one — Cuddly Cactus in Medium, Blue — and each size and colour combination can carry its own price, SKU and stock count. Customers pick the version they want instead of messaging you to ask which pots you still have.

Both. The Prejane app offers Cash on delivery with a plain 'pay with cash upon delivery' note, and every VenderIT build includes online and offline payment options. Plenty of Philippine shoppers still prefer COD, so we leave it switched on and add cards, e-wallets or bank transfer beside it.

Yes. The banner, the On Sale badges, the #OnSale, #Featured and #New chips and the free-shipping threshold are all yours to set from the admin panel and CMS that come with the build. Adding a new plant, swapping the gallery photos or changing a price is a job for whoever runs your shop, not a support ticket to us.
